In light of Nicolas Anelka’s recent 18 match ban from the French international team, we’re curious to know if you feel the punishment fits the crime. He’s been banned because of an altercation with the former manager of the French team, Raymond Domenech, during the World Cup – which led to a coup by the other players, several of which have also received lesser bans.
Anelka is laughing off the punishment, saying that his international career already ended during the World Cup fiasco. Our question is: does he deserve it? Was he out of line, or merely venting frustrations in a way you’ve come to expect from high profile players?
