Ronaldingo is the player of the decade (2nd is Zizou). Why? Well, football is first of all fun and Ronaldinho gives this in the best way. I love to see him how he enjoys and smiles, and making fools of the opposing markers. Deco is ok he helped Ronnie but at the end even Zizou couldnt play all alone!!! (except in the 2006 finals )

Yup. WAS is definitely an operative word when discussing Ronaldinho’s “best in the world” tag. YMMV Flavio; I notice you did put in the caveat that “to you” he’s the best in the world because you enjoy watching him, which is fair enough. I just think you cannot deny there are better NOW, really…if you take away your caveat and look at it objectively, comparing stats and style of play.

But you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I don’t think Paulo’s a hater for being entitled to his. (And Ronaldinho has always been painful to look at – there’s MY opinion.

I made fun of his looks. Big deal? Take it on the chin for crying out loud. I’m sorry, he was the world’s best for maybe 2 seasons at best. He was hardly the best player of the decade and I made plenty of arguments to back that up. You, on the other hand, haven’t done that, and instead have come here only saying you liked watching him play. That’s great and all but, so what? I’d like to watch Scarlett Jo play out there with a wet t-shirt, but that won’t make her the best in the world now will it?

My argument goes for Rui Manuel Costa the best player of the decade really Rui Costa was superb in central midfield well Ronaldinho is full of magic when he gets the ball never the less i enjoy looking at him when in field ooh my the guy can do wonders with the ball but that does not guarantee him player of the decade coz Zizou was pure magic in that style when comes to Rui ooh my flair was his trade mark,quick accurate passing,accurate long shorts really no one will ever beat Rui in midfield unless Max Estebban Cambiasso is given time by Maradona.Rui Manuel Costa the best
