Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas made a huge impact for Arsenal on his return from injury vs. Bolton, scoring 1 of the match’s 2 goals. The 28th minute goal was his 10th of the season. With the addition of a 78th minute goal from Fran Merida Perez, the Gunners had plenty to celebrate in Fabregas’s return from his 3 match injury downtime.

The win places Arsenal within 3 points of Chelsea, who currently sit at the top of the table.

Bolton by comparison are 2nd to last in the league, and the match was a rocky homecoming for recently hired manager Owen Coyle. The uphill battle he faced guiding his club through a difficult match against the London giants may pale in comparison to the competition he faces steering Bolton clear of relegation. With only 4 points separating Bolton from last place, and only 2 points separating them from safety, Bolton must go head-to-head with no fewer than 3 other clubs currently within 1 point of escape from the relegation zone (West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Hull City).
