Germany captain Michael Ballack has warned the world that Germany doesn’t have the clout required to win the 2010 World Cup. Ballack’s telling confession to Kicker magazine read, “We do not have the consistency or strength in depth in the squad. We have been too weak, particularly in friendlies, to be able to say that we have the class to beat everybody else.”

Whether or not those who consider the three-time cup winners’ chances at taking home the 2010 prize allow their predictions to be swayed by Ballack, time and punditry will tell.
