West London giant Chelsea are set to sell the naming rights to their stadium, hoping for a deal that will secure much-needed millions of pounds.
Ron Gourlay released an adamant statement that Chelsea would not allow competing teams to gain a stronger foothold because of revenue generating opportunities, and that the now-perennial EPL title contenders are determined to generate cash to improve the club’s standing.
He also clearly expressed that fans needn’t worry: the words “Stamford” and “Bridge” will appear somewhere in the new name.
