Benni McCarthy’s agent has disclosed that the South African striker has expressed interest in leaving Blackburn in pursuit of a club that can help enliven his career. He’s been unable to achieve a regular place in Blackburn’s starting elven this year, and has scored no goals.
At 31 time is against his longevity, and he must play more routinely to hope of participating in the 2010 World Cup hosted by his home country. He and his agent have acknowledged Sam Allardyce’s regime does not have room for a player of McCarthy’s style.
