Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to see former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney join him at Real Mardid. According to the Portuguese star, Rooney has all the qualities to make him a blinding success in Spain.

Ronaldo also admits it’s unlikely that Rooney will make such a move at any point in the near future. But he retains a never-say-never attitude:

“Wayne has all the skill and determination you need to make a fine career here. He has shown just how good he is over the last few years in England. And there’s no doubt he would be the same sort of player in Spain. It would be lovely to see him here one day at Real Madrid.

“I realise it would take a lot for him to move from England. He loves the country, he loves Manchester and he is a Liverpool boy. And United is a good club for him. But you never know what could happen in the future.”

CR9 is right, Rooney is definitely one of the most hard working footballers I’ve seen.
But him leaving England is just crazy talk!

I also highly doubt that Rooney would leave England, he’s got too much to lose for a footballer that, in my opinion, has yet to truly make his claim as one of the world’s best. And I do believe it appropriate to mention that even without the shadow cast by Ronaldo he’s still not quite bagging as many goals as he should, though to be fair, no striker at United has been much of a goal-scorer since Van Nistelrooy left for Madrid.
