Juventus are the latest club to join the race for Franck Ribery’s signature according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Already linked with a possible move to Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid, the Bayern Munich and French winger is one of the hottest prospects in World football.
Juventus managing director Jean-Claude Blanc is ready to convince his countryman to move to the Bianconeri during the summer for a reputed €25 million and with the diminutive midfielder’s contract up in 2011, Bayern Munich appear consigned to losing their star player.
Should Ribery choose not to sign a new contract the ideal scenario for the German club would be to see a bidding war break out between Europe’s premier clubs thus enhancing the player’s market value.
With Pavel Nedved set to hang up his boots at the end of the season, the ‘Old Lady’ of Italian football seems likely to join the high profile pursuit.
