Paulo P. Writer Paulo is a 20 year old writer who was born in Aveiro, Portugal. He got his first start in the business writing for F1Newswire, based in London, England, in 2004 at the age of 15, where he provided race and qualification reviews and previews for Formula One racing. Shortly after F1Newswire went under, Paulo wrote briefly for the LusoAmericano newspaper based out of Newark, New Jersey, contributing analysis of the Portuguese football league. Paulo is now studying International management at Pace University in New York City where he resides. One of the aspects that Paulo attempts to bring to his articles is his ability to deliver a laugh to his readers while keeping to his journalistic integrity. Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and a novice in German and Italian, Paulo is always attempting to stay ahead of the game reading up on the latest news developing from countries all over the world, something which is key in a world where globalization is running rampant. |

Mike D. Writer Mike is 22 years old and work as a play-by-play and color commentator for the Athletics Dept. of Stevens Institute of Technology, where he studies Computer Engineering. He enjoys sportswriting and keeping a close eye on the European and International football scenes. The three clubs I support are Wigan Athletic, Ajax Amsterdam, and Red Bull New York, as well as of course the Stevens Inst. team. Within the football community, Martin Tyler and Derek Rae are the two men he most respects for their contributions, knowledge, and skill at portraying the events of a match to viewers/listeners. In addition to his passion for football, he has a rather eccentric list of activities that he enjoys. His rare free time usually sees him swimming, playing football, watching hockey, traveling, or playing his keyboard. After sports, music is probably his 2nd greatest passion. Two of his biggest goals to write his own electronic music composition (using FL Studio, of which he’s currently learning the basics) and to be able to learn 2 new languages in the next few years. |

Steven M. Writer
Steven is a professor of political science at the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, MN. His professional research focuses on normative political philosophy and the design of democratic political institutions. Like Albert Camus, he fancies himself as having learned his morals "on the football pitch and in the theater." His football writing interests are in the institutional structures and strategies of world football, as well as the ways in which contemporary politics enters into the world of football and vice-versa. His most cherished memories of the game are of being in Holland for Euro 2000. In the interests of full disclosure, he supports Arsenal, the United States and DC United. |
